Vacuodermie is a new innovative treatment concept and modality that was introduced by French scientists in 1984 and is FDA approved in the USA.

Vacuodermie allows the therapist to apply a vacuum to the skin that gently lifts it up through precise maneuvers utilizing various cup sizes to match the surface of the treated body area. These cups are moved by the therapist over the skin using gliding, shaking, popping and rotating techniques while gently pulling up on the cup or they can be parked for a short time. The suction cups gently and rapidly loosens & lifts connective tissue, breaks up and drains stagnation while increasing blood & lymph flow to skin & muscles in ways not possible using compression.
