Meet Nadine Verdebout

Hi. I am Nadine Verdebout, a Physical Therapist and Functional Nutritionist & Lifestyle Practitioner.

My passion lies in helping people discover their Wholistic Individuality that has been shaped by their life story from conception to today and which is lodged in their organs, tissues, cells and their mind. I work with all genders, ages and abilities.

Over the course of my professional and personal life, I have witnessed over and over again that once we discover and acknowledge how our life has shaped who we are today, regardless of our symptoms and/or diagnoses, our Autonomic Nervous System is given the opportunity to come out of its ‘Fight, Flight & Freeze” Response, regulate itself and better assist our physiological and healing processes with finding their pathways to restoration.

For that purpose, I have specialized in gentle hands-on approaches such as Advanced CranioSacral Therapy, Somato Emotional Release, Core Awareness, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Functional Nutrition & Lifestyle

The common goal of these approaches is to create an environment in which the mind and the body have the opportunity to “reveal” themselves with trust and without judgement in order to reconnect and team up again so they can orchestrate the healing process.

One of the most important parts of my job is to empower my clients  by educating them in understanding the “why”, “how” and “what” of their bodily functions and by teaching them self help tools so they can access their self healing capabilities.

“Mind With Matter” is definitely my motto.

My strongest belief to this day is that anything can be healed as long as the body and the mind work together as a team and where information is equally communicated without judgement in order to create a perfectly harmonious relationship.

For me, that motto was initiated by my body. Since a very young age, my body has guided me and protected me in ways that I only understood later in life.

It all started when I developed shingles at the age of 5 to shield me from being physically abused. I literally developed “fire” in my body to keep the predators at bay. As I grew in a loving, yet very unhealthy and unpredictable environment, my body showed my mind how to be strong and aggressive enough to remain protected and “in control”. I was on my own and this was the only way I knew how “to have my own back”!

Needless to say, the “Fight” part of my Autonomic Nervous System was constantly on and at a very high level.

And this is how I grew till my world began to crash when my mom, my best friend and support, became terminally ill and when my son Matthew was born.

Matthew was born with a cleft lip and palate and later on diagnosed with severe developmental delays. At the same time, I was losing my mom to her 20 year battle with breast cancer. My world was slipping and I was drowning.

The only way I could come back to the surface and become the Mom I wanted to be for Matthew, was to reach out for help. This is when my self discovery and healing journey began and this is how Healing The Generations was born.

Healing The Generations was created with the love and support of my best friend and husband, Wouter. Together we created a professional life that was tailored to our personal needs of being Matthew’s parents while having the freedom to deliver care on an individual basis.

Matthew has made a tremendous impact on our understanding of the healing process, on what it takes to care for somebody in need and how to navigate this world with unconditional love. Our greatest reward in life is to witness how happy and grounded Matthew is.

Our journey has been, and still is, a very challenging path. However it has brought us “home” where our bodies and minds have become wholesome in order to guide us, and you, through this beautiful journey called LIFE.

I truly believe that
“Your Health Journey is Your Healing Journey”
and I am honored to be part of it.
